Puzzle #147 - This Side Up (Curve Data)

I know I said I probably wasn't going to make another Curve Data puzzle, but it turns out the prompt for Logic Showcase 16 was inspiring. The requirement was to make a grid for any puzzle type that, when rotated, would also yield a unique puzzle with a different solution. My first thought was to make a Tawa with 60 degree rotation, but then I had this crazy idea that I just had to try to make, planning to fall back onto Tawa if I failed. It turns out, this actually won the showcase for my third win!

Puzzle #146 - Differences (Minarism)

After making a Minarism that relied extremely heavily on inequalities, I just had to make one that heavily relied on differences.
I love how the two main threads are disambiguated here.

Puzzle #145 - Futoshiki? (Minarism)

Futoshiki is a latin square type that only gives greater than relations between some cells. Minarism has the same mechanic, but also allows for giving the difference between some cells. Naturally, I made one without those.
It's best if you don't bifurcate- it trivializes what I consider a very cool step.

Puzzle #144 - ABC in 3D (Cipher Nurikabe)

So, I made another Nurikabe. On a cube. That's also ciphered- each letter represents a different number.
No puzz.link puzzle link today, it just really doesn't work for this.

Puzzle #143 - Stutter (Araf)

I like region division puzzles, and don't think I've made enough. So I made a few Araf puzzles, though this is the only one I'll be posting here for a while for a couple reasons. I'm also about half done with a puzzle project I've been working on for a while...

I also streamed making this on the Puzzlers Club Discord to an audience of exactly 1 (hi jkitty)

Puzzle #142 - Untitled (Factors/TomTom)

So this is either a Factors puzzle where there's an unclued room or a TomTom puzzle where every cage is multiplication. It's also not the first time I've tried this theme, and funnily enough the only reason it worked is because of that large unclued room.

Puzzle #141 - Puzzle Duel Minesweeper Loop

Similar to the Nurikabe from last week, this puzzle was made for use on Puzzle Duel, and ended up with a winning time of 1:24 by Freddie Hand. Now that it's no longer competitive, I'm posting this Minesweeper Loop here.

  • Draw a single continuous loop in the grid using horizontal and vertical line segments. It should not cross or overlap itself. Numbers in the grid show how many of eight neighboring cells are visited by the loop. The loop can't path through a cell with digits.

Puzzles #139 & #140 - Fix It In Post (Icelom)

Icelom is a rare but very interesting puzzle type. Both of these puzzles were made with faulty assumptions- one in the rules, and one as a deduction, and so both have a different variant because of course they do.
The answer checker checks for > instead of the more interesting >=. For this puzzle, all standard rules apply, and all numbers along the path must be greater than or equal to all previous numbers on the path.
This one, on the other hand, was one that I thought worked as a vanilla Icelom, but later realized I was mistaken. In this puzzle, all standard rules apply. Additionally, all ice cells must be used (not just white cells).

Puzzle #138: NurikabeNurikabe

Recently, a daily competitive puzzle site launched called PuzzleDuel. Submissions for daily puzzles are open to anyone willing to send an e-mail, and so I elected to make a Nurikabe to submit. It was used as the daily puzzle on June 3rd, and now that it's no longer ranked I'm posting it here.
I really like this theme.
