Recently, Walker Anderson posted a 10x100 Slitherlink that was pretty neat. Someone else posted a Tapa with the same dimensions, so I thought I'd give the size a try with a
Shikaku puzzle. I tried to vary the themes throughout with a few parts that resolve mostly on their own as a sort of checksum- hopefully you enjoy solving this as much as I enjoyed making it. Link before the image because, well, it's a tall image.
I found this not as smooth as Walker’s slitherlink, with more scrolling down, back up a bit, then back down again as I went. There were also a couple of moments where I was suddenly uncomfortable about how far away the undo button might be - but thankfully was able to tweak things right. It’s possible that’s just because I am not as keen on unknown rectangles area clues in shikaku.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, fun to solve and a good challenge nevertheless. Thanks for the puzzle!
